Crowchild-Somme Pedestrian Bridge Construction
The City of Calgary will begin rehabilitation work on the Crowchild-Somme Pedestrian Bridge to improve its condition and extend its service life for years to come.
During construction, you may notice:

Overnight lane closures on Crowchild Trail (9:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m.) with traffic maintained in both directions.

Temporary weekend closures of the pedestrian bridge throughout August. Pedestrians will be detoured via the Flanders Avenue S.W. or 33 Avenue S.W. bridges.

Temporary relocation or closure of nearby bus stops.

Increased noise, dust, and heavy equipment in the area.
