Outdoor Recreational Facilities
Looking to get active? We have a variety of outdoor recreational facilities for year-round fun. Our tennis courts double as pickleball courts, and our bike pump track is a great place to hone your cycling skills.
When the seasons change, so do our facilities! In the summer, spring, and fall you can enjoy our beach volleyball courts, and in the winter, once it becomes cold enough, the courts transform into a fully boarded outdoor rink for skating and hockey.
Grab your racquets and paddles! Our community courts are ready for a match. Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the game, our shared tennis and pickleball courts are the perfect place to get active, have fun, and connect with your neighbours.
An active MLCA membership is required to access the tennis/pickleball courts. Once you purchase a membership, please contact the office to request a FOB or mobile access (through the Schlage app).
Currently we operate with a First-Come, First-Serve policy, unless the courts are booked. There are a few times reserved for our Seniors Pickleball group and programs.
If someone arrives at the court and are waiting to play, please limit yourself to 30 minutes of playing time to allow for their turn. Please see below for the full Court Schedule and details.
Come on out and get some sand between your toes! Courts are typically available during weekdays and all day Saturday on a first come, first served basis. With 8 courts, there is generally room for all. Courts can also be booked for private functions. Please ensure that at least one member of your party has an active MLCA membership.
The beach volleyball courts are typically open between May and October (seasonally dependent).
Note: courts are rented by the Calgary Sport & Social Club (CSSC) weekday evenings starting at 4pm and Sunday all day.
Our community is proud to be home to a volunteer-run outdoor rink! This is a place for everyone to lace up their skates, practice their hockey skills, or just enjoy a skate under the open sky. We rely on the hard work of our dedicated volunteers to keep the ice in great shape, and we welcome everyone to come and enjoy it all winter long.
Maintaining our beautiful rink is a lot of work, and we are always looking for community volunteers to help maintain our ice rink! Please reach out to the Sports and Recreation director if you are interested in helping out.
The new bike track built for the Marda Loop Community Association is a fantastic addition that brings energy and excitement to our neighborhood. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just learning to ride, the track provides a challenging yet enjoyable experience that encourages outdoor activity and fitness. It’s not just a place to ride; it’s a space where neighbors can gather, families can bond, and kids can build confidence in their biking skills. The track’s layout allows for a smooth flow, with various twists, turns, and gentle slopes that keep things interesting without overwhelming younger riders.
