Fireside Chat is back!

Come join us on March 20th where we welcome Evie Wallace.

Evie worked as a nurse therapist in mental health for 35 years. She currently offers peer support with the MAID Family Support Society and has been involved with Dying with Dignity since her husband’s death.

She will be discussing her heartfelt and humorous recounting of her husband’s story. Her husband Hugh became one of the first people in Alberta to receive medical assistance in dying.

She tells the tale of how loneliness became more manageable after his death and the struggles she felt the years prior watching him deal with chronic illness.

This is no way an advocacy for MAID, but more of an understanding of the process and a different perspective from someone who has been through it. Evie has been delivering this talk for years and understands the sensitivity around this subject matter.

You will surely not experience another chat like this one, so don’t miss out!

Charcuterie will also be included in the fee, and wine will be available to purchase.
