Hall Revitalization Project

Dear Residents,

We would like to inform you of the upcoming renovation at the Marda Loop Communities Association Hall (3130 16 St SW) taking place this spring and summer season. This work will include repairs to the building exterior, improvements to lighting, updates to gutters and drainage, and upgrades to the entrance canopies.

Prompted by the City of Calgary’s lifecycle planning process, this project will enhance both the safety and visual aspects of the hall. Improvements will include new canopy structures at the upper and lower hall entrances, stucco remediation, updated lighting, replacement of metal sheathing, , new sealants, upgrade of gutters, downspouts and soffit panels.

Construction is scheduled from May to September 2026, with The City of Calgary and approved contractors. During this time, you may experience increased noise and minor traffic disruptions.  Project updates and schedules will be shared on our website www.mardaloop.com.

For those with hall bookings and participating in MLCA programs & events, our team will work with you to minimize disruptions and arrange alternatives where needed.  We appreciate your patience and support while these improvements are completed. Our goal is to ensure that Marda Loop Communities Association Hall continues to serve as a welcoming and functional space for gatherings for years to come. We look forward to sharing our new look and feel with you this fall!

If you have any questions or would like additional information, please contact Tami Cormack, Director of Sustainability at sustainability@mardaloop.com

Thank you for your continued support of our community.

Sincerely,

Marda Loop Communities Association
