Idea Labs are back for the Fall! We are continuing on with two new classes that will gear children towards a hands-on, fun learning experience relating to science and technology. This session we have two options:
Idea Lab Jr Coders:
4:45 – 5:45 pm (6 year to 8 year olds)
Learning to code with Idea Lab is engaging and fun even at a young age. Kids rapidly learn fundamental programming concepts as they drag and drop their way to writing actual code and creating a working program. Students will explore coding and computational thinking practices as they utilize technology as a tool for creativity, expression and learning with the PBS KIDS ScratchJr app.
Minecraft Mod Team: Intro:
6:00 – 7:00 pm (9 year to 12 year olds)
Students will learn how to use some basic coding features of a coding program, LearnToMod, which is a program connected to Minecraft that allows users to create their own modifications. Knowledge gained: Snap-block coding, programming, Minecraft modding.
